How to Test your Internet Speed?
For real-time live streaming or uploading pre-recorded videos to OneStream Live storage, you should have an upload internet speed of at least 10 Mbps, with 15 Mbps or higher being ideal. The quality of your Internet connection is more crucial than just the speed, so connecting directly to your router is advisable.
To test your internet speed, go to Speedtest.net and Click on the Go button.
The speed test will start and will take a few moments to finish.
Once done, you'll see various results, including your download and upload speeds. Your main concern should be the upload speed, ideally aiming for at least 10 to 15 Mbps or higher.
If your upload speed is below 10 Mbps, consider contacting your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to request an increase, keeping in mind that this may result in additional charges. If increasing your upload speed isn't feasible, adjusting your streaming resolution to 720p or 480p could help.
To reduce network congestion, disable backup or cloud services like Google Drive, iCloud, or Dropbox, and minimize the use of bandwidth-intensive online services such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, or online gaming while broadcasting real-time live streams.
