Troubleshooting Microphone issues in the Studio

Discover how to fix microphone access issues in the Studio.

Allowing microphone permissions in your browsers

Chrome

Copy and paste this link in your browser: chrome://settings/content/microphone

Look for app.onestream.live under "Not allowed to use your microphone."

Set the Microphone permission to "Allow."

Firefox

Copy and paste this link in your browser: about:preferences#privacy

Scroll to Permissions and click Settings next to "Microphone."

Find app.onestream.live, set it to "Allow," and click Save Changes.

Additional Troubleshooting Steps

If updating your browser’s permissions doesn’t resolve the issue, try these steps:

Clear your cache and restart the browser. This will reset permissions, and you will be prompted to grant them again.

Restart your computer and try again.

Disable browser extensions (e.g., Adblock) and open OneStream Live Studio in incognito mode.

Try using a different browser.

For Mac users: Ensure your OS permissions allow microphone access. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and make sure your browser is listed and toggled on.

You can also check if the microphone is accessed by this online microphone testing tool or you can try it on another site like Google Meet.
