How to Live Stream on TikTok with OneStream Live

To Live stream on TikTok you need to get a Streaming Key and Server URL from TikTok.

Open the TikTok app and click on the + button at the bottom of the screen and navigate to the LIVE tab. Below the GO LIVE button, you will find two options to select “cast on PC/Mac” and “Device Camera.”

Click on “Cast on PC/Mac,” and you will find a Server URL and Stream Key. Copy and paste the Server URL and Stream Key in OneStream Custom RTMP account.

In order to go live, your account needs to have at least 1,000 followers and you'll need to check whether or not your account is allowed to Live Stream as this feature is not available on all accounts.

PC streaming has not been rolled out to all countries and devices yet so you might not have the "cast on pc/mac" option yet.

Go to OneStream dashboard, click Accounts> Add Accounts option on the left sidebar and select Custom RTMP.

Assign a name to your Custom RTMP social account.

Choose platform as Custom.

In the Server URL field, paste the Server or RTMP URL provided by your TikTok App. It will start with rtmp:// or rtmps://.

Paste Stream Key copied from TikTok in the Stream Key field.

If you wish, modify live streaming ingestion parameters like FPS, Video Bitrate, Keyframes, etc. Leave them to default if you are not sure.

Once all the fields are filled correctly, click Connect to OneStream.

A newly configured RTMP social account will appear on the sidebar under the "Add Accounts" section.

Now you can schedule pre-recorded videos or go live in real-time on this TikTok RTMP social account.
