Live Streaming on Instagram

Before you begin:

For Instagram, the video should be in Portrait mode. We recommend a 720p with 30 fps video in portrait mode, although 1080 will work too. For example, the IG portrait video dimensions can be 1080 x 1920 pixels and an aspect ratio of 9:16.

Instagram allows a maximum stream time of 4 hours per video.

Steps to configure Instagram:

Go to OneStream Live dashboard, and on the left sidebar click, Social Platforms, then select Add Social Platform and Connect.





Click Instagram button.



You will be given two options to connect the Instagram account.

Method 1: Connect via Instafeed:

Click on the option connect via Instafeed.



Enter Instagram Username.

Enter Instagram Password.

Press Login.

Method 2: Configure Manually

Keep in mind that you cannot see your stream from your own Instagram profile. To view your stream, log in to Instagram from a different account and view it in real-time as your followers would. Unfortunately, Instagram doesn’t allow you to see your live stream from the same account. Only followers can view the stream.
