How to Add SRT File to your Video for Captions?

Adding SRT File to Video






Click the Create Stream button or navigate to the Pre-recorded Stream section. Then, click Add Video and select the desired stream you wish to create.



Upload from your computer by clicking My Device or importing videos from your cloud storage (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.). You can also use your previously uploaded videos by clicking OneStream Storage.

Allowed video formats are mp4, mov, m4v.



After the video is uploaded, click on the three dots and then click on Captions/Subtitles



Click on Add Manually, to write subtitles for your stream.



If we break the same sentence into two parts, CPS (character per second) will be adjusted accordingly.

The srt file has been added to the video and is ready for scheduling.



You need to keep the character limit below 20 characters per second for a smooth reading experience.

Once Subtitles have been entered manually, Click on Save to save your subtitles for the stream.



Downloading the SRT File



Click on Download to save and download the SRT file.



Editing the SRT File



Click on the Delete button to delete the captions or on the Plus sign to add the captions.



Importing SRT File



Click on Import File to import the SRT file to Laptop/PC.



Click on Import SRT File to choose a file from your PC.



Select the SRT File to add on your video and click on Open



The SRT file has been added to the video and is ready for scheduling.
