Streaming on Instagram Using OBS

Connect your Instagram account using the instructions given here: Live Streaming on Instagram.

Once you have connected your Instagram, now open OBS on your Device and click Settings.

Click Stream and select service as Custom.

Go to OneStream Dashboard and click on RTMP Encoder.

Select your desired Server nearest to your location from RTMP Resource section (Keep location setting as autodetect if you are not sure).

Copy Server URL and Copy Stream Key from the OneStream RTMP Source section.

Keep your stream key private. Giving someone else your stream key will allow them to stream to your OneStream channel. Click Reset Key to generate a new key if needed.

Paste Server URL and Stream Key copied from OneStream Live to OBS stream settings.

Click on Output Mode, then select Advanced option, check the Rescale output box and set it to 720x1280.

Then click on Video and do the following settings, click on Apply and OK:

Base (Canvas) Resolution: 720x1280

Output (Scaled) Resolution: 720x1280

Your OBS is now ready to send a stream to OneStream Live. Select your media by clicking the + sign.

Click Start Streaming to begin sending the stream to OneStream Live.

Once the video appears in OneStream Dashboard, click on the Instagram from your social destinations in order to go live.

The stream would start appearing on your Instagram.
