How to Verify Your Custom Domain?
Verifying Custom Domain
Log in to your OneStream live account and click the three dots icon to expand the left-hand sidebar.
Click Hosted Live Pages under the Hosted Live Pages section.
Navigate to the Domain Settings tab and select Basic Subdomain.
Enter your Basic domain name and click the Verify & Save button. You can enter any basic domain name as long as it is available.
You need to set up a basic domain first in order to set up and verify a custom domain.
Head over to your domain registrar and add a CNAME record in your domain's DNS settings. Configure the following
Type: CNAME
Name: Enter your custom domain name here. Depending on your domain registrar you may have to enter the full custom domain here like john.abc.com or just the first part of subdomain e.g john
Target: Enter hostedpage.onestream.live in the target field
Proxy: If you domain registrar has proxy status, turn it off
TTL: Set TTL to Auto or a low value like 1 min so that the DNA records propagate quicky. Once the custom domain is verified you can set this value to a higher number like 1 hour.
Depending on the chosen method and your domain name registrar, the verification can take anywhere from few seconds to few hours.
Add your own custom sub-domain and click the Verify & Save button to verify your domain ownership.
