How to Go Live on an Existing LinkedIn Event Using OneStream Live?

Going live on an existing LinkedIn Event with OneStream Live lets you stream live or pre-recorded videos directly to your event attendees. It’s perfect for hosting webinars, workshops, or professional sessions while engaging your audience in real time.


LinkedIn offers two approaches for scheduling an event:

  • Schedule for later

  • Go live now

Schedule for Later

  • Access the LinkedIn Manage Stream page.

  • Locate the event you intend to go live on and click the Prepare to Go Live button.

  • Select your nearest region from the dropdown.

  • Click the Get URL button.

  • Copy the server URL and stream key

  • Log in to the OneStream Live account.

  • From the left sidebar, click Social Platforms.

  • Click Add Social Platform.

  • Click Custom RTMP.

  • Enter the Name, then paste the Server URL and Stream Key.

  • Confirm the Video setting details, then click Connect.

  • A pop-up will confirm that your Custom RTMP destination has connected successfully.

  • Schedule pre-recorded streams or go live in real time via OneStream Studio or any RTMP source.

  • When the stream starts in OneStream, go to the LinkedIn event and click Go Live to start broadcasting.

Start the stream on LinkedIn within 10 minutes of the scheduled time to prevent the event from being deleted by LinkedIn.

  • In Stream Settings, choose your region and click Get URL.

  • Copy the Server URL and Stream Key.

  • Follow the steps to configure a Custom RTMP Link to Schedule for Later to connect the LinkedIn event with OneStream Live.
