How to Troubleshoot OneStream Live Connectivity Issues with Firewalls?

Last updated on Aug 05, 2026

When using OneStream Live on a work network or a company-managed device, firewall, proxy, or other security settings may block certain connections required for Studio or streaming features. Follow the steps below to temporarily disable the firewall for troubleshooting. If you are using a work-managed device or network, contact your IT administrator before changing these settings.

Disable Firewall on Windows

  • Open the Start menu and search for Control Panel.

  • Select System and Security.

  • Click Windows Defender Firewall.

  • Select Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off from the left panel.

  • Select Turn off Windows Defender Firewall for your current network type.

  • Click OK.

Usually, your current network is Private. If unsure, select both Private and Public network settings.

Disable Firewall on macOS

  • Click the Apple menu and select System Settings.

  • Go to Network and select Firewall.

  • Toggle the Firewall option off.

  • Confirm that the firewall status is Inactive.

Turning off the firewall is not recommended for regular use. Re-enable it after testing.
