Live streaming on VK via OneStream Live

Log in to VK on the desktop version of VK in a browser on your computer. Go to the home page, VK live streams can be conducted as you or as a community that you’re a manager of.

Note: A single manager can only create one live stream at a time. For a community to have several live streams going at the same time, they each need to be created by separate managers.

Go to the Video section of the selected page.

Click the New stream button in the upper right corner.

Upload a cover for your live stream with an aspect ratio of 16:9, with a recommended size of 1280x720 px. . Enter the other details like the name of your live stream name, description and the category.

Open the Encoder section, copy the Server URL and Stream key to paste in the settings, select the Privacy of your stream and click "Save".

Go to your OneStream dashboard, click Add Accounts and click on Custom RTMP icon.

Paste the Stream Key and the Server URL .

Review the Encoder settings and click Connect to OneStream.

Refer to the following Recommended encoder settings while streaming to VK.

Resolution: 1280×720, 1920×1080

Frame rate: up to 60 fps

Bitrate Settings

1280×720 (30 fps) — 1,500–4,000 kbps

1920×1080 (30 fps) — 3,000–6,000 kbps

Audio Bitrate: 128 kbps

Encoder: AAC

Now you can schedule a stream on this social account or go live in real-time How to set up real-time live streaming.

Return to your browser and open the player of your recently created live stream.

Click the Go live button when you’re ready to go live.

You stream will be Live in the encoder and on VK. Enjoy!

Once the stream is LIVE, your live stream signal will become available to all users in the player. Your friends and followers will get a notification about it and a live chat will appear that viewers can use during the stream.
